Job summary

Eden Brown is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to join its London team, a leading workplace design, fit-out and refurbishment specialist.

You will work alongside Commercial Managers, Designers and Project Delivery teams to develop cost plans, coordinate information and manage the preconstruction process from enquiry through to handover, with an excellent route into senior preconstruction leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience within commercial fit out, interiors, refurbishment or design & build construction.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Preconstruction Manager, Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator or Commercial Assistant.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using Excel and working with project cost information.
• Ambitious, proactive and eager to develop a long-term career in preconstruction.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of commercial and preconstruction strategies for project bids and pitches.
• Assist in preparing cost plans, budgets and commercial proposals.
• Review client briefs, Employer's Requirements, fit out guides and technical documentation.
• Coordinate information between design, sales and subcontractor teams to ensure alignment between design solutions and project budgets.
• Attend site surveys and support subcontractor engagement and pricing exercise.
• Assist in reviewing tender submissions and preparing commercial comparisons.
• Support negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value.
• Produce and maintain cost breakdowns and commercial documentation.
• Assist with procurement schedules and management of long-lead items.
• Support the management of RFIs and landlord approval processes.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction through to delivery.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety legislation, building regulations and company procedures.

The Opportunity
