Job summary

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of planning policy or development management.
• Customer service skills, handling conflicting demands and priorities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• A-Level qualifications or some experience in planning.

Responsibilities

• Preparing planning reports on development proposals.
• Providing advice and negotiations with applicants to achieve the best outcomes and deliver 5-star customer service.
• Liaising with residents, officers from other service sections, elected members and external bodies to ensure material considerations are accounted for.
• Engaging in pre-application discussions to front load planning considerations.
• Undertaking a qualification in planning.
