Job summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council in Wales is seeking a planning professional to manage their own caseload of householder and minor planning applications and enforcement cases, while contributing to high-quality, efficient planning services. You will work with experienced planning colleagues and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will have opportunities to contribute to the Council's wider regeneration and placemaking objectives, with support for professional development and career

Qualifications

• A Level 6 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (degree or diploma acceptable).
• Good working knowledge of planning law.
• Full UK Category B driving licence; vehicle for business use; travel around the borough.

• Manage own caseload of householder and minor planning applications and enforcement cases.
• Contribute to delivery of a high-quality, efficient, customer-focused planning service.

• A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings and undertake site visits. Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
