The junior rotational scheme provides six-monthly rotations through musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, general medicine, elderly care, neurology and rehabilitation, with staff accountable to a Team Leader and site clinical manager.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for applicants interested in developing their Physiotherapy career in Care of the Elderly here at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is a 4-month, fixed term, full-time contract running until 28th February 2027.
The role will be based at Wansbeck General Hospital, but may require the applicant to work across the region.

• The junior rotational scheme operates throughout the trust and involves working in a wide range of clinical teams including musculo-skeletal, orthopaedics, general medicine, elderly care, neurology, rehabilitation, surgery and ITU, paediatrics, women’s health and front of house.
• Rotations are set at six monthly intervals to provide broad range of post graduate experience.
• Junior staff are accountable to a Team Leader and ultimately site clinical manager.
