We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our team with the opportunity to progress to a Band 7 Mental Health Pharmacist through individually-tailored developmental support.
During your journey and development within KMPT, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and the key aspects of this clinical post will include attending ward rounds, patient education and counselling, clinical audit and medicines information. You must be able to show compassion and respect for people with mental health problems and be driven to improve their care through medicines management.
This role does not require mental health experience and the expectation would be for the candidate to learn and build their experience on the job through formal learning and work-based practice. On-going training and support will be provided by the Lead Education and Training Pharmacist and the local clinical pharmacy team with clinical supervision being provided by one of our experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacists. Further support will be available from the Trust wide pharmacy team if required.
The post holder will be part of a clinical pharmacy team that provides a medicines management service to the inpatient wards. You will also be involved in working with the other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in undertaking and developing audits and projects to evaluate and improve services alongside pharmacy and trust priorities and objectives.
