Job summary

New Appointments Group in Folkestone is seeking a Junior Packaging Inspector to support the packaging and quality team. You will inspect incoming packaging and components ensuring specifications are met and log issues.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays; this role offers a hands-on development path within quality, manufacturing or packaging environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality, inspection, manufacturing or warehouse environments is advantageous.
• Good computer skills; SAP experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming packaging and components to ensure they meet specifications.
• Carry out sampling and checks on incoming goods according to standards.
• Record inspection results accurately and report quality issues.
• Support decisions on acceptance or rejection of materials.
• Release approved packaging on SAP following inspection.
• Maintain up-to-date quality documentation and reference samples.
