Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Non-Conformance Design Engineer to investigate and assess non-conformances on gas turbine engine components, collaborating across engineering disciplines to develop safe, compliant, and robust design solutions.

You will work with Manufacturing, Quality, Stress and Materials teams to deliver technically sound dispositions and practical cost-effective outcomes while expanding your expertise in turbine design and repair technologies.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience, with aerospace and defence experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, product lifecycles, technical drawings, and engineering assessments.
• Proactive team player with excellent communication skills, capable of working accurately to tight deadlines while maintaining compliance with export control requirements.

Responsibilities

Your role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of experienced Non-Conformance Design Engineers delivering solutions on high-profile aerospace and defence programmes. You will investigate and assess non-conformances on gas turbine engine components, working collaboratively across engineering disciplines to develop safe, compliant, and technically robust design solutions.

Your profile

This role would suit an engineering professional with a strong technical foundation and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will bring experience interpreting engineering data, applying engineering judgement, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions across complex engineering programmes.
