Job summary

The Very Group is seeking a Junior Merchandiser to join the Nike buying & merchandising team in the Very Sports business. You will help build the assortment, manage supplier relationships with Nike, and execute commercial merchandising across planning and trading to deliver the right product at the right time.

You will work in a flexible, hybrid environment with a focus on data, analytics, and strong cross-functional collaboration to drive the customer experience and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• A retail professional with Merchandising experience.
• Good knowledge of Excel and data analysis.
• Ability to analyse reports and articulate findings.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to build relationships across teams.
• Desire to understand The Very customer.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking.
• Solid decision making and workload prioritisation.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Own planning and trading with support from the Merchandiser.
• Ensure product strategy is delivered and KPI's met.
• Drive department vision in partnership with internal and external teams.
• Capture lessons learned and report to senior management.
• Work with Buying to place future and in-season buys.
• Manage pricing, availability targets, and lifecycle.
• Optimise critical path for merchandise plans.
• Develop replenishment using forecasting tools.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Support system and process improvements.
