What You’ll Do
- Establish, build, and maintain relationships with suppliers and shareholders to ensure strong business relationships.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best cost prices, lead times, and payment terms.
- Produce and analyze reports.
- Manage pricing across categories to maintain competitiveness without compromising profitability.
- Maximize product performance by understanding your range, competitors, and the wider retail market.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize sales, profit, and efficient stock management.
- Build cross-departmental relationships, communicating effectively with Managers and Directors.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and introduce the best products by checking reviews and refund reports.
What You'll Bring
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role; experience in buying or purchasing is essential.
- Experience managing overseas suppliers, particularly in the Far East region.
- Dynamic, eager to learn, and development-focused.
- Excellent negotiation skills and commercial awareness to identify trends and impact on stock levels.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills; proficient in Excel and other Microsoft programs.
- Ability to extract and analyze data, understanding business systems thoroughly.
- Proactive and reactive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
- High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast environment.
