ARNE Job Opportunity: Assistant Merchandiser
ARNE is a direct-to-consumer, athleisure apparel brand based in Birchwood Park near Warrington, UK. We design and develop products in the UK, manufacture in the near & far east, and ship directly to customers via our ecommerce store, ARNECLO.com.
With ambitious plans for the next decade, we aim to expand through new product categories in shoes and womenswear, supported by paid media and CRM activities to enhance our brand presence.
Reporting to our Senior Merchandisers, you will support the Product team in maximising sales through effective stock management. We seek a driven, enthusiastic individual with an analytical background and a love for Excel. If you're interested in joining our exciting journey, please apply today.
Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly trade sales analysis, run reports, and drive team trade meetings by proposing clear actions and opportunities.
- Assist in managing company and category WSSIs, monitor performance, and identify opportunities or risks in stock.
- Support trading departments in-season to push best sellers and identify product risks quickly.
- Review line cards weekly to manage stock and sales forecasts in line with department OTB, considering the product critical path.
- Make profit-conscious decisions by reviewing shipment methods, fabric planning, and capacity for buys.
- Understand the department critical path and order book, working closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries for key launches.
- Utilise season reviews and lessons learned to support future planning and strategy.
- Refine and improve processes to streamline workload and benefit the team.
- Manage junior team members, motivating and supporting their development in a positive environment.
- Assist Senior Merchandisers with ad hoc analysis, clearly communicating findings and recommended actions.
- Collaborate with wider business functions to develop strong working relationships supporting merchandising.
About You
- Experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or at Junior Merchandiser level.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, delivering quality work efficiently.
- Strong data interpretation and analytical skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Great problem-solving skills and time management ability.
- A friendly, positive attitude and adaptability to change.
