Job summary

Wates Smartspace is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Leatherhead. You will develop your career while working on high-profile fit out and refurbishment projects with an MEP focus.

You will assist with budgets, cost plans and valuations, while collaborating with project managers and supply chain partners to ensure successful commercial outcomes. Flexible and hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
Exposure to MEP services, building services or fit-out projects is desirable.
Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with project budgets and cost plans throughout pre-construction to final account.
Support procurement, tender evaluations and package recommendations.
Prepare valuations, variations and cost reports.
Monitor costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Assist with subcontractor account management and payments.
Contribute to final accounts and reporting.
Collaborate with project teams to meet commercial objectives.
