Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Site based Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Wetherby to join a global facilities management client. You will assist with maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, with a clear progression path into automation technologies.

The role offers a competitive salary up to £31,000, Monday to Friday core hours, and opportunities for training and development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong basic mechanical system knowledge.
• Willingness to learn under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of conveyors, cranes, and automated warehouse systems.
• Support fault finding on automated and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on storage and handling systems.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to troubleshoot mechanical and automation faults.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures when working at height, in confined spaces, and low-oxygen environments.
• Complete maintenance records and support general site maintenance tasks.
• Participate in training and development to build automation and maintenance knowledge.
