Role Overview:

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of building services design solutions across a wide range of projects. Working closely with Senior Engineers and Directors, you’ll be given the support and mentoring to develop your technical expertise and progress your career within a forward-thinking and growing consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the mechanical design of building services systems, including HVAC, hot and cold water, and public health systems
Assist in the production of design calculations, specifications, and technical reports
Use relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES, or similar) to assist with design and modelling
Attend design team meetings and site visits to gain hands-on experience
Liaise with clients, architects, and other consultants to ensure project objectives are met
Work across various sectors including commercial, residential, and heritage
Continuously learn and develop under the guidance of senior team members

Candidate Requirements:

Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
0-2 years' experience in a similar role within the building services/M&E sector (graduates welcome)
A keen interest in developing a career within mechanical building services design
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic, driven, and willing to learn
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, or IES (desirable but not essential)
