Job summary

Stericycle is seeking a Management Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Manager in maintaining ledgers and producing timely, accurate financial results. You will liaise across departments to ensure deadlines are met and help improve month-end close via better data analysis.

The role requires 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and precise, organised work habits. Collaboration with audits and reporting packages is expected.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years+ accounting experience
• High attention to detail
• Good IT skills with intermediate Excel (basic formulas, pivots, IF statements, lookups)
• Accurate, efficient and organised with ability to prioritise tasks
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented attitude to ensure accurate reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of ledgers and produce timely and accurate financial results
• Liaise across departments to meet deadlines and reduce errors
• Improve month-end close process and data analysis
• Prepare manual journal entries
• Bank reconciliations and ledger postings
• Intercompany reconciliations and invoicing
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and reporting packages
• Support SOX compliance and internal control practices
• Assist with external/internal audits
