Job summary

TXM Group invites applications for a Finance role in Wolverton to own entity P&L and balance sheet, acting as a key business partner to support decision making and forecasting.

You will prepare management accounts, provide margin insights and work with commercial and operational teams, while supporting statutory accounts and VAT duties. A pathway to qualified accounting via apprenticeship is offered.

Qualifications

• Working towards becoming a qualified accountant (apprenticeship support offered as part of role).
• Strong communication with stakeholders inside and outside finance.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Driven, flexible and with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Management Accounts to include P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Provide reports, insight and analysis on gross margin and overhead variances against forecast and budget.
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams, with visibility to senior management.
• Own reconciliation of the Balance Sheet, including Invoice Discounting.
• Maintain and enhance financial accounting systems, processes and controls.
• Ad hoc support for divisional and group analysis and project work.
• Prepare Working papers for Annual Statutory Accounts and assist with audits.
• VAT calculation, reconciliation, reporting and submission to HMRC.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our finance team, with ownership of entity P&L and Balance sheet as well as opportunity to business partner with the wider business to support decision making and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of the Management Accounts to include P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Providing reports, insight and analysis on gross margin and overhead variances against both forecast and budget.
• Work in close collaboration to support commercial & operational team, with visibility of the senior management team.
• Ownership of reconciliation of the Balance Sheet, including Invoice Discounting.
• Maintaining and enhancing financial accounting systems, processes and controls.
• Ad hoc support for divisional and group analysis and project work.
