Junior Management Accountant - Temporary Position

Our client is an independent retail group with a number of premises in the London area.

An opportunity has arisen in the Central Finance Function for the position of a Temporary Junior Management Accountant.

The Junior Management Accountant will be required to support the Management Information team in all aspects of their work.

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Calculate and post month-end journals
2. Prepare and review monthly profit and loss statements
3. Prepare, review, and reconcile the balance sheet with commentary
4. Produce and reconcile store expense schedules
5. Ad hoc tasks as required

Required Competences and Attributes:

• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP and pivot tables)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to pick up tasks quickly
• Able to deliver reports to tight deadlines
• Able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels in the business
• Enthusiastic and proactive approach, keen to learn accountancy and finance systems

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Contract Details: Monday to Friday - 9 am to 5:30 pm - 3 to 4 months duration
