Job summary

Eversheds Sutherland, a global law firm with a strong presence in the UK, is looking for a Junior Legal PA in Nottingham. You will support stakeholders with proactive, professional administrative duties and gain structured development through a two‑year pathway.

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder engagement: conduct regular meetings and align priorities with team and client needs.
  • Diary and mailbox management; act as a liaison for colleagues and clients.
  • Organise meetings, travel, equipment, and refreshments using available resources.
  • Prioritise workload; delegate to support teams and monitor progress.
  • Manage end-to-end matter/file opening with stakeholders and document handling.
  • Provide administrative support to billing and finance, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Produce documents with our document production team for larger projects.
  • Assist with follow-up reporting and marketing/business development activities.
  • Foster collaboration and promote adoption of new technologies.

Role and Key Responsibilities


  • Stakeholder engagement:Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with stakeholders to discuss actions, priorities, expectations and future planning. Attend team meetings, maintain a flexible approach and adopt hybrid working to accommodate stakeholder and client needs.

  • Diary and mailbox management:Efficiently manage diaries and mailbox management. Act as a liaison point for colleagues and clients. Assist with client queries during stakeholder absences.

  • Meeting coordination:Organise and plan meetings, arrange necessary travel, equipment and refreshments using available technology and resources.

  • Workload prioritisation:Take ownership of tasks, delegate effectively across dedicated support teams such as billing, finance, team assistants, document production. Monitor task progress and proactively communicate with stakeholders to meet deadlines.

  • Matter management:Manage the end-to‑end file opening process, collaborating with stakeholders and other business support teams, including electronic filing.

  • Financial administration and compliance:Assist in providing financial administrative support to stakeholders, coordinating with billing and finance teams, ensuring compliance with legal, firm‑wide and practice‑specific policies and procedures.

  • Document management:Undertake short document work. Collaborate with our document production team for larger documents utilising our dedicated software.

  • Business development support:Assist the team with follow‑up reporting. Support marketing and business development activities, including meet and greets. Prepare and submit expenses.

  • Collaboration and technology adoption:Build and maintain collaborative working relationships. Continuously seek opportunities to embrace technologies that improve efficiency. Champion self‑serve technology adoption within the team.
