Junior Key Account Manager (Retail) - UK&I, London

Job Description:

SumUp card readers are available off-shelf in over 10+ stores and webshops across the EU at ‘Brick & Mortar’ retailers and e-tailers. In this role, you will be part of the Retail team, reporting to the Business Development Cluster Lead UKI & CEE, playing a key role in our retail expansion activities. We aim to make SumUp’s solutions easily accessible to business owners on every street corner through strategic retail partnerships across the continent.

Your responsibilities include working closely with our retail team to secure profitable deals and ensure product placement in key retail and e-tail locations, managing and engaging with top retail partners within UK&I, and leading the sales cycle from initial contact to partnership agreement. You will also build long-term strategic relationships, identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness, and co-lead retail partnership expansion.

You'll be great for this position if:
  • You have 1-3 years of experience in business development, key account management, or retail sales within FMCG, Consumer Electronics, Cash & Carry, Office Supplies, or Trade Retail in the UK&I market.
  • You possess exceptional negotiation skills, strong sales acumen, and a reputation for trustworthiness, with experience negotiating with buyers and retailers.
  • You have experience in planning and executing joint business plans, both online and offline, to maximize product visibility and rotation.
  • You are disciplined, drive operational excellence, and have strong communication skills with full professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
