Job summary

Information Tech Consultants Ltd is seeking a Junior Java Developer to strengthen the engineering team in London. You will develop Java-based backend services, build RESTful APIs, and contribute to microservices projects within a fast-growing UK consultancy.

The candidate should have 2–5 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT, and solid knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, SQL databases, and modern development tools.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and Microservices.
• Experience with Hibernate, JPA, and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with MySQL / PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git, Maven, and Gradle.
• Basic understanding of Docker.
• Good understanding of OOP concepts and multithreading.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications
• Build RESTful APIs and work on microservices architecture
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
