Job summary

Thorn SDS Ltd invites you to join its IT Defence Academy, a 22-month programme blending training with real on-site work. The initial four months build IT fundamentals at our Alton Head Office, followed by 18 months of hands-on experience on-site.

Successful completion could lead to advancement within Thorn SDS or at a larger corporate partner. Pay increases at 4, 10, and every six months thereafter, with a competitive benefits package and hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Genuine interest in IT and networks.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive.
• Eligible for required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 22-month structured IT Defence Academy programme.
• Gain hands-on, on-site experience after initial training.
• Opportunities to continue with Thorn SDS or move to a larger corporate organisation after completion.

Thorn SDS is recruiting for its IT Defence Academy — a structured 22-month programme combining professional training with real-world, on-site experience.

How the programme works

• First 4 months: Learn the fundamentals of IT through practical training at our Alton Head Office.

• Next 18 months: Put your skills into practice, gaining hands-on experience working on site.

Once you complete the programme, there may be opportunities to continue your career with Thorn SDS or move into a role with a large corporate organisation.

Pay that grows with you

As you progress through the programme, so does your pay. Your pay will increase after 4 months to again at 10 months to then every 6 months thereafter.

• An IT-related degree, or equivalent experience and a genuine interest in IT and networks
• A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive
