Job summary

Frontpoint Partners Ltd in London is seeking a Junior Data & Platform Engineer to help design, develop and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. You will build data pipelines, lakehouses and warehouses, focusing on reliability and performance.

Collaborating with stakeholders, you will apply IaC, Git and Azure DevOps, ensure data quality and security, and continuously learn to deliver high-quality data platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least three years' experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Snowflake.
• Strong Python and PySpark skills.
• Experience integrating with APIs.
• Background in Agile development and IaC, Git and Azure DevOps.

Job description

Our client is looking for a talented Junior Data & Platform Engineer to join their IT Data & Platform team, where you'll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining cutting-edge data solutions within Microsoft Fabric. You'll build and optimise data pipelines, lakehouses and data warehouses, using PySpark, Python, T-SQL and DAX to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that drive business intelligence and analytics.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll develop robust, secure and well-documented data platforms while embracing a code-first approach, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git version control and Azure DevOps. You'll monitor platform performance, ensure data quality and compliance, and continually seek opportunities to enhance business operations through innovative data engineering solutions.

We're looking for someone with at least three years' experience in Data Engineering and hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake or similar cloud platforms. You'll have strong Python/PySpark skills, experience integrating with APIs, and a background in Agile development.
