Job summary

Harnham is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to help build and scale a modern Microsoft Fabric data platform that will serve as the central source of truth for reporting and analytics. You will work with the Lead Data Engineer and a cross-functional team to deliver data solutions across Bronze, Silver and Gold architectures.

The role involves integrating data from multiple sources, building scalable pipelines with Python, SQL and PySpark, and enabling CI/CD practices within a cloud-first

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric platform.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience working in Azure environments.
• Strong SQL skills for data transformation and modelling.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, lakehouse architectures and medallion architecture.
• Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.

You'll play a key role in building and scaling a modern Microsoft Fabric data platform that will become the central source of truth for reporting, analytics and decision-making across the business.

The Role

Working closely with the Lead Data Engineer and a collaborative data team comprising engineering, governance and analytics specialists, you will help shape and deliver the next phase of the organisation's Microsoft Fabric platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and enhancing data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
• Developing and maintaining Bronze, Silver and Gold data architectures.
• Integrating and transforming data from multiple source systems into Lakehouse environments.
• Building scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL and PySpark.
• Supporting the development of a centralised enterprise data platform and single source of truth.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business data needs.
• Supporting the adoption of CI/CD practices and modern engineering standards.

Your Skills and Experience

You will bring strong capability in:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and delivering data engineering solutions within the platform.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience working within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong SQL skills for data transformation and modelling.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, lakehouse environments and medallion architecture.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Benefits

You will receive a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience.
