The role:
The main purpose of this role is to enhance the analysis and investment decision-making of SJP’s Investment Division through data-driven reports & insights. This serves our pursuit of investment excellence, by ultimately improving the investment outcomes for clients. The role holder will support the work of the Investment Insights & Reporting Team. They will support the provision of trusted investment KPIs and KRIs to investment teams and key governance forums, with creative and engaging visualisations.
What you'll be doing:
- MI Reporting: Producing regular reports for various stakeholders including clients, Partners, Investment teams, Boards and committees. Continuous development of reporting processes to reduce risk and improve governance.
- Building Visualisations: Ensuring that stakeholders and customers are able to absorb and act on the reports and analytics produced, the role will involve work on visualisation designs. The primary reporting tool will be Power BI.
- Data Quality Testing & Error Resolution: Identifying data quality issues, investigating the cause and implementing short and long term resolutions. This is to ensure that the information provided can be trusted and adds value to our investment decision making.
- Maintaining Internal Data Tables: Running updates and processes to maintain tables used for reporting and data cleansing.
- Updating Process Guides: Creating and updating material to ensure governance of reporting and continuous improvement.
- Quantitative Analysis & Predictive Analytics: Supporting on the implementation of statistical models & testing. Building up a deep understanding of the uses, and misuses, of statistical inferences.
Who we're looking for: Essential Criteria
- Experience of any coding language
- Degree qualified or equivalent, ideally in a highly numerate, quantitative or statistical subject.
- Interest in taking, or working towards, investment-related further education or professional qualifications – such as IMC, CFA or CQF.
- Interest in learning investment markets, asset classes and investment styles.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with Excel & Power BI.
- Experience with SQL & Python.
- Some understanding of SJP's business model and the context of the wider wealth management, asset owner and asset management industries.
- Knowledge of investment market and asset classes.
Special Requirements:
Travel to London/Cirencester on an occasional basis will be necessary to meet with the team and with internal stakeholders.
