Job summary

David James Partnership Ltd is seeking a Junior Investment Analyst. This junior role suits a recent graduate or a first/second jobber with some investment team experience and a keen interest in the investments/financial services sector.

You will support the Investment Analyst team and CIO, assist with fund research (OEICs, Unit Trusts, ETFs), platform administration, and client communications. Hybrid work is offered, with initial in-office commuting to Horsham.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or 1st/2nd jobber with some investment team work experience.
• Interest in the investments/financial services sector.
• Ability to understand markets, funds, platforms and providers, and communicate information clearly.
• Attention to detail and proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
• Ability to interpret performance metrics and present to Senior Management.

Responsibilities

• Support Investment Analyst team and CIO with admin and record keeping.
• Undertake fund research (OEICs, Unit Trusts, ETFs, life and pension funds).
• Assist in developing IP Model Portfolios and client communications.

Junior Investment Analyst

The ideal candidate can be a recent graduate, this is a JUNIOR Role so would suit a 1st or 2nd Jobber with some investment team work experience LOOKING TO START A CAREER IN THE INVESTMENTS / FINANCIAL SERVICES SECTOR

As a Junior Investment Analyst you will need to be understand the financial markets, the fund universe, tax wrappers platforms and providers, and be able to communicate knowledge/ information to others both internally/externally.

You will work closely with, and support, the Investment Analyst team and CIO to ensure efficient business administration and record keeping and develop and maintain excellent customer relationships with current and potential members.

Work as part of the team to contribute to the development of a range of initiatives and achievement objectives of the company.

• Administration/investment activities on an investment platform and website

Undertake fund research to enhance the IP Model Portfolios

The Junior Investment Analyst will help to undertake and deliver research information to support and assist the Investment Management team in analysing funds. Principal types of investment research and analysis will include:

• OEICS and Unit Trusts
• Investment Trusts
• ETFs
• Model Portfolios (discretionary) and DFM's
• Life Assurance Companies
• Life and Pension funds
• Platforms

SKILLS ;-

• MC holder or interest/willingness to work towards the qualification
• Ideally a minimum of 1 years experience working in investment analysis or similar.
• Attention to detail.
• Competent in MS Office.
• The ability to interpret performance metrics and effectively communicate these to Senior Management.
• Good Excel skills.

THIS ROLE IS HYBRID HOWEVER FOR YOUR 1ST 3 MONTHS YOU WILL NEED TO BE BASED IN HORSHAM, SO YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE THERE DAILY !
