An excellent opportunity has become available for a Building Services Engineer to join a dynamic and growing consultancy based in Manchester. Working on a range of exciting projects across the commercial, residential, education, and healthcare sectors, this role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with up to a few years of experience looking to further develop their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the design and specification of mechanical or electrical building services systems, based on your background and interests.
* Assist in producing detailed calculations, drawings, and models using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or IES.
* Contribute to projects across multiple sectors, ensuring compliance with current regulations and client expectations.
* Attend site visits and team meetings, gaining exposure to real-world engineering challenges.
* Work closely with senior engineers, clients, and external stakeholders.
* Progress toward professional accreditation (e.g. IEng or CEng) with ongoing training and support
The ideal candidate will:
* A degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Graduate or intermediate level experience within a consultancy or relevant engineering environment.
* Familiar with UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guides, and relevant industry standards.
* Some experience with design software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, or IES.
* Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
* A keen interest in sustainable, low-energy design is advantageous.
