Job summary

Advania Group in London is seeking aJunior Infrastructure Engineer to join the MSP Cloudlab team. You will help manage customer infrastructure and private cloud environments, gaining hands-on experience across VMware, backup, storage, networking, and security technologies.

You will work closely with senior engineers, participate in learning and certification activities, and support data centre or customer site tasks.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure including servers, storage, IP addressing and networking principles.
• Practical exposure to VMware virtualization; VMware certification progress desirable.
• Knowledge of Veeam backup and Cloud Connect is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day administration and monitoring of customer virtual infrastructure and private cloud environments.
• Support IaaS backup services, monitor backups, investigate failures and assist with restores.
• Act as first-line contact for escalated requests, help diagnose issues and document work.
• Assist with planned maintenance and upgrades across VMware, storage, backup and networking.
• Review infrastructure alerts and maintain technical documentation and support records.
