What We Are Looking For...
Job Purpose:
As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will support the River Island brand through creative and engaging design across multiple touchpoints. Working closely with the Senior Design Team, you’ll help bring campaign concepts to life across digital and social media platforms.
You’ll be responsible for adapting campaign ideas into compelling content, especially for social media and email, while growing your skills in a fast-paced and creative environment.
Responsibilities:- Support the Senior Designers in developing campaign assets across digital and social platforms.
- Translate creative concepts into engaging and consistent visual content
- Assist in adapting content across multiple formats and screen sizes, with a strong attention to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the design team to execute ideas with creativity, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute with fresh design ideas.
- Work with motion design to support the creation of animated and video content.
- Learn to use AI design tools (e.g. Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT) to streamline content creation.
- Prepare visuals and files for delivery to artwork, development or publishing teams.
Requirements:- 0–2 years of experience in a design role, ideally in fashion, retail, or a fast-paced creative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a similar creative field.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong design skills, with examples of animation/social content and digital layouts.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects).
- Familiarity with digital design tools such as Sketch and Figma.
- Willingness to learn and work with AI tools for content creation (e.g. Adobe Firefly, Runway, Midjourney).
- Eye for typography, layout, and composition.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and eager to grow creatively.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
