Job summary

IntecSelect is recruiting a Junior Backend Developer to join its engineering team in London, focusing on Go and AWS to build scalable APIs and services.

This permanent role offers hybrid on-site presence with 1-2 days a week in London, a competitive salary of £70k–£80k, and room to grow within a cloud-native platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to deliver robust backend solutions.

Qualifications

Backend Developer - Go/AWS - Junior

My client is going through an exciting stage of growth, investing heavily in modernising its platforms with scalable, cloud-native architecture. They're looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join their engineering team, working primarily in Go and AWS to build and maintain the APIs and services powering their platforms.

London: 1-2 days/week on-site
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
Employment type: Permanent position

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Back End services and APIs using Go


• Work closely with senior engineers and product teams to translate requirements into working features


• Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, databases, and Back End services


• Support the ongoing performance, scalability, and security of Back End systems


• Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and maintain services

Skills & Experience

• 2-5 years' professional software development experience


• Solid experience with Go


• Experience with AWS


• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases


• Strong engineering fundamentals and a solid delivery background


• Good understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP)
