What You'll Be Doing

As part of the strategy around GoCompare's acquisition by Future, we're implementing a technology roadmap to re-platform our domain around an API-first, cloud-based serverless architecture. Our goal is to become the leading Price Comparison Website (PCW) service and to broaden the scope beyond the GoCompare brand.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining our new systems, ensuring scalability and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with industry trends in architecture and design.
• Collaborate with engineers at all levels to deliver our platform effectively.
• Ensure all changes are tested, scalable, and integrated reliably, working closely with cross-functional teams including Product, UX, QA, and Project Management.
• Learn from team members and resources to grow as an engineer.

Experience That Will Put You Ahead Of The Curve

• Experience with .NET Core or .NET Framework
• Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
• Understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure Services
• Knowledge of application monitoring practices (metrics, tracing, logging)
• Awareness of testing frameworks (e.g., MS Test, XUnit, Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, PlayWright)

The role offers a salary range of £25,000 - £35,000. It is a hybrid role based in either Bath or Cardiff, requiring three days in the office and two remote.
