Badger Meter is seeking a Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer to support cloud platform development and maintenance under mentorship. You will contribute to testing, validation, and agile team activities across frontend and backend systems, including IoT integrations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js fundamentals.
• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git/GitHub).
• Basic knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software components for cloud-based platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable code following patterns and best practices.
• Assist with front-end and back-end development of user-facing systems.
• Support systems connected to IoT hardware.
• Debug applications and resolve defects under guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Help maintain and improve cloud infrastructure services.
• Support deployment pipelines and containerised applications.
• Document technical implementations and procedures.
• Collaborate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
