Job summary

Progroup Recruitment Limited seeks a Passive Fire Department Manager to lead a specialist team delivering fire door, compartmentation and fire stopping services across Surrey and London. The role covers the full lifecycle from enquiry to handover with strong ownership and strategic impact.

You will manage technicians and subcontractors, sustain client relationships, and drive delivery quality, safety and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience across fire doors and fire stopping.
• Experience with BM TRADA — essential for this role.
• Experience managing full project lifecycle from survey and pricing through to delivery and handover.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills — comfortable as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Experience managing employees, subcontractors and suppliers across live projects.
• Confident carrying out site surveys and intrusive fire door inspections.
• Knowledge of FIRAS, IFC or similar accreditation schemes — desirable.
• Experience using digital reporting and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of fire door, compartmentation and fire stopping services.
• Manage enquiries, surveys, pricing, programming, delivery and handover.
• Lead employees, subcontractors and suppliers; maintain client relationships.
• Ensure quality, safety, costs and project progress are in line with plan.
• Prepare and maintain all documentation including survey reports, RAMS and handover packs.
