Job summary

Fera Science is seeking a Junior Finance Business Partner to work with operational teams across the business, providing financial insight and challenge to drive informed decision‑making and performance. You’ll develop your career through supportive development and exposure to diverse financial activities.

You'll support month-end processes, management reporting, and cost/revenue analysis while collaborating with the wider finance team to improve monitoring of business performance.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or studying towards an accountancy qualification or qualified by experience.
• Experience partnering with non-financial managers and providing management accounting advice.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with NetSuite or other finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end accounting processes including journals, forecasting, variance analysis and costings.
• Prepare and present Management Information and other financial reports.
• Conduct cost and revenue analysis.
• Support financial planning and annual business plans.
• Collaborate with the finance team on areas such as accounts receivable/payable, bids, and governance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation. Working closely with operational teams across the business, you'll provide financial insight, challenge, and support that helps drive informed decision-making and business performance.

Whether you're part-qualified, studying towards an accountancy qualification, or have equivalent experience, we'll support your development and help you build the skills needed to progress your finance career.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the management of month end accounting processes including preparation of journals, forecasting, variance analysis and costings
• Preparation and presentation of Management Information and other financial reports
• Cost Analysis
• Revenue Analysis
• Management of the development of processes and financial analysis reporting to improve the business’s ability to monitor performance.
• Support with financial planning, including annual business plans
• Support with other areas of the finance team as required, including, but not limited to, accounts receivables, accounts payable, bids, financial governance

What we’re looking for:

• Part-qualified or working towards an accountancy qualification, or qualified by experience. Qualification funding can be supported.
• Experience of working in close partnership with non-financial managers, providing management accounting advice, support and challenge
• Use of standard IT packages such as Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced)
• Good management accounting experience.
• Experience of working with large data sets and financial modelling
• Highly organised individual, with good attention to detail
• Experience of working as part of a team and on own initiative with minimum supervision
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build sound working relationships
• Previous experience using NetSuite (Oracle) and/or other finance systems.
