Job summary

Four Squared Recruitment Ltd in Redditch is seeking a Junior Finance Assistant for a temporary ongoing contract. Based on site four days a week with one day from home, you will join a friendly finance team and gain hands-on experience across Accounts Payable and Credit Control.

Key duties include processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, allocating cash receipts, month-end support, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounts environment.
• Experience in Accounts Payable and Credit Control.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication with customers and suppliers.
• Proficient IT skills, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with Accounts Payable tasks including reconciliations.
• Support Credit Control by chasing outstanding payments.
• Allocate cash receipts and update customer accounts.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end processes.
• Provide general admin support to the finance team.

Junior Finance Assistant (Temporary Ongoing Contract)

Working Pattern: 4 Days Per Week on site - 1 Day Working From Home

Salary: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Finance Assistant to join a friendly and growing finance team based in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance administration experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Assisting with the Accounts Payable function, including statement reconciliations and supplier queries
• Supporting Credit Control activities, chasing outstanding payments and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Allocating cash receipts and updating customer accounts
• Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Assisting with month-end finance processes
• Providing general administrative support to the finance team

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment
• Practical experience of both Accounts Payable and Credit Control
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers and suppliers
• Competent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
