Confidential in Redditch is seeking a Junior Finance Assistant for a temporary ongoing role. The position is 4 days on site with 1 day working from home, offering exposure to a busy finance department and the chance to develop finance administration skills.

Ideal candidates will have experience in finance, with skills in Accounts Payable and Credit Control, strong Excel abilities, and a proactive, detail‑driven approach to reliably support month‑end processes and supplier communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or accounts environment.
• Experience in both Accounts Payable and Credit Control.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills with customers and suppliers.
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
• Proactive, eager to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Assisting with the Accounts Payable function, including statement reconciliations and supplier queries
• Supporting Credit Control activities, chasing outstanding payments and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Allocating cash receipts and updating customer accounts
• Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Assisting with month-end finance processes
• Providing general administrative support to the finance team
