Job summary

AO Recycling, part of the AO Group, is seeking an Accounts Assistant at our Telford site in Shropshire. The role offers training and close mentorship toward CIMA qualification, contributing to forecasting, management accounts and fixed asset accounting.

You'll work on month-end tasks, asset records, and various reconciliations while building relationships across the business and pursuing professional development through the CIMA Glidepath.

Qualifications

• Studying CIMA or equivalent to progress towards qualification.
• Experience with basic accounting tasks is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts including prepayments and accruals.
• Record fixed assets additions/disposals and monthly depreciation.
• Analyze expenditure across P&L categories.
• Assist with monthly forecasts and annual budget.
• Perform daily cash flow, bank reconciliations, VAT reconciliation.
• Support tax, audit, and ad hoc queries as needed.
