Job summary

Guided Talent Limited is seeking a Junior Estimator for a full-time role in the Salfords area, near Horley, Surrey. You will assist in preparing estimates and quotations, reviewing drawings and specs, and gathering costing information.

Ideal candidates have a background in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering and strong numerical skills. Full training is provided, with potential to progress into more specialist estimator areas as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Solid technical understanding and ability to interpret engineering information.
• Previous estimating experience not essential; full training will be provided.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills; attention to detail.
• Confident communication and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing estimates and quotations for engineering projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information to understand project requirements.
• Work with internal engineering, production and commercial teams to gather accurate costing information.
• Develop understanding of materials, labour, manufacturing processes and project costs.
• Maintain accurate records and support the wider estimating and commercial function.

Education

Degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering
