Job summary

Northcote in Guildford is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the team and progress under the guidance of the Senior Electrical Estimator. This role covers commercial, domestic and industrial projects across the South East, offering broad experience and clear progression.

The successful candidate will have estimator experience and will contribute to cost estimation, tendering and client communications throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience as an estimator or in a similar role.
• Able to read an electrical design drawing.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel.
• Good verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings and job specifications.
• Communicate with clients throughout the tender process.
• Prepare detailed quantity take‑off sheets.
• Create material costing sheets.
• Collate costs from the supply chain and review for accuracy.
• Assist in preparing electrical and supply chain project cost estimates.

Electrical Estimator

A great opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join a well established Electrical Contractor based in Guildford. The successful candidate will have a great opportunity for progression in their electrical career, where they will be working alongside the Senior Electrical Estimator. Candidates will require some experience as an estimator, but are also open to more experienced estimators.

Our client works on Commercial, Domestic & Industrial projects around South East England offering a wide range of experience and progression for candidates.

Electrical Estimator Responsibilities include;

• Reviewing tender documents, drawings & job specifications.
• Communication with existing and new clients throughout tender process.
• Preparing detailed quantity take off sheets.
• Material costing sheets.
• Collate costs from supply chain, review for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the preparation of electrical and supply chain project cost estimates for our projects.

Essential skills include;
