Job summary

SubSea Craft Limited is seeking a motivated Junior Enterprise Developer / Junior Software Developer in Portsmouth to learn and grow by helping to develop and improve company systems. You’ll work with data, integrations, automation, and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence, gaining experience across various technologies.

You don’t need to be an expert yet; the role values enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to grow.

Qualifications

• Some experience with at least one programming language (Python or JavaScript).
• Eagerness to learn new languages and tools as needed.
• Basic understanding of SQL or interest in learning databases.
• Familiarity with APIs (REST APIs and JSON).
• Willingness to work with JIRA & Confluence, with full support and training provided.
• Basic Git usage (committing, branching, pull requests) — or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Write simple scripts or small features in the programming languages you’re learning.
• Help maintain and enhance internal tools and automations.
• Support small frontend fixes when needed (training provided).
• Help maintain project boards, fields, templates, and structures in JIRA/Confluence.
