Job summary

PDSL Knowledge Centre, at Warwick Science Park, Coventry, UK, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to join the engineering team. The role targets graduates or early-career engineers eager to gain hands-on embedded experience in firmware, microcontrollers, and hardware/software integration.

You will work on developing, testing, debugging and validating embedded systems using C/C++, across bare-metal and RTOS platforms, and you will document findings while collaborating with the wider engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronic/embedded engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of hands-on embedded software experience welcomed.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software using C and C++.
• Support firmware development for microcontroller-based systems.
• Develop and debug bare-metal and RTOS applications.
• Implement and troubleshoot I2C, SPI, UART and CAN communication.
• Support hardware/software integration and document results.
