Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Junior Embedded Software Engineer in Farnborough, onsite, to contribute to Linux-based embedded systems for baseband and antenna hardware. You will work with hardware, RF and software engineers on low-level development, driver integration and system bring-up, while developing your skills in a highly technical environment.

The role suits junior or early-career engineers with C/C++ embedded experience and an interest in space technology.

Qualifications

• Some commercial or internship experience developing embedded software in C/C++ (e.g., internships or small projects).
• Exposure to Embedded Linux (kernel, drivers or user-space development).
• Understanding of I2C, SPI or UART peripherals.
• Interest in low-level systems and hardware interaction.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Awareness of RF or communications systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, integration and testing of Linux-based embedded systems used in baseband and antenna hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware, RF and software engineers on low-level development, driver integration and system bring-up.
