Job summary

A fast-growing wireless technology company based in Cambridge is seeking an Embedded Linux Engineer to drive the development of Linux-based embedded platforms for their innovative products. This role involves close collaboration with hardware and networking teams, and requires strong experience in embedded software development, particularly in C/C++. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Linux networking and exposure to high-performance systems. A hybrid working model is offered.

Join a fast-growing wireless technology company – Cambridge, Hybrid Working Model

This established business is entering an exciting new phase, developing a next-generation Fixed Wireless Access platform as part of a highly agile, start-up-style R&D environment. The team are now looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to play a key role in the development, optimisation and support of Linux-based embedded platforms powering their latest products.

You’ll work closely with hardware, systems and networking teams, contributing across low-level software, BSPs and platform performance as products move rapidly from development into deployment.

For this Embedded Linux Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience developing embedded software in C/C++
• Solid experience with Embedded Linux, including kernel and BSP development
• Understanding of Linux networking and system-level debugging
• Experience using Yocto to build and customise embedded Linux distributions
• Ability to work across fast-moving projects with evolving requirements
• Ideally, exposure to high-performance or low-latency networking systems
