Job summary

Samuel Frank Associates Ltd. near Chester, Cheshire, seeks a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to support LV electrical design, building services, security and control systems. The role is office-based with a clear path for development.

You will work with Lead Engineers and the Engineering Director, gaining hands-on project exposure across varied industrial projects and benefit from structured technical development opportunities and mentoring.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD experience and familiarity with electrical drawings required.
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering advantageous but not mandatory.
• Around 12 months’ relevant industry experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design documentation and AutoCAD drawings with guidance.
• Prepare block cable diagrams, single-line diagrams and layouts.
• Use Amtech/ProDesign for cable calculations, with training provided.
• Ensure drawing types are understood and applied correctly.
• Coordinate with leads and engineers on EC&I design deliverables.
