Job summary

Samuel Frank is recruiting a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join an established electrical engineering business near Chester. The role is office-based and offers structured technical development and hands-on project exposure.

You will work alongside Lead Engineers and the Engineering Director, supporting LV electrical, building services, security and control systems projects. Training provided and IET Professional Development support are included.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering is advantageous but not mandatory.
• AutoCAD experience and familiarity with electrical drawings required.
• Amtech / Trimble ProDesign for cable calculations; training provided.
• BS 7671 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable.
• Good attention to detail and clear technical communication.
• Security clearance for civil nuclear/MOD sectors may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design documentation and AutoCAD drawings.
• Prepare block cable diagrams, single-line diagrams, containment layouts and panel general arrangements.
• Use Amtech / Trimble ProDesign for cable calculations.
• Support LV electrical, building services, security and control system projects.
• Collaborate with Lead Engineers and Engineering Director.
