Enterprise Technology is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining systems across Group Functions such as Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Core Banking. The organization comprises over 8,000 people across 14 countries supporting more than 3,000 applications.

Role Overview: Junior DevOps Engineer

Based in Sheffield with hybrid working arrangements, you will work within Foundations Technology – Cross Functions Common Components, supporting internal customers on Cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate within an Agile POD of Cloud DevOps Engineers to automate application deployment across environments.
2. Build reusable deployment pipelines supporting services across Finance IT.
3. Develop innovative CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Helm, Skaffold.
4. Deploy Cloud infrastructure including Docker, Kubernetes, Compute Engine, and Composer.
5. Design software with a focus on customer/user experience.
6. Build tooling using Python and GoLang.
7. Utilize deployment tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, Terraform.
8. Work with Google Cloud products like Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Logging, IAM, Pub/Sub, Kubernetes, Cloud Build, and Composer.
9. Receive mentoring and training from team members.

• Hands-on experience with Python and/or GoLang.
• Passion for technology and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Knowledge of deployment tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, Terraform.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and concepts.
