Job summary

Our client in Sunderland is seeking a Design Manager (Junior) to oversee the design process from concept to delivery. The role is hybrid with an office in Sunderland and a £26,000–£30,000 salary, offering progression and development within a growing team.

Ideal candidates have a background in Architecture or interior design, good communication skills, and a proactive attitude to learn and grow in the built environment.

Qualifications

• Background in Architecture or interior design, preferably with early career experience.

Responsibilities

• Support feasibility, planning and technical stages of live projects.
• Coordinate between architectural design and construction/site teams.
• Help prepare and check technical drawings and design documentation.
• Attend client, consultant and site meetings with senior team members.
• Build knowledge of the UK planning process and design-build delivery.
• Take on increasing responsibility as experience grows.
