Job summary

Elliot Thomas Consulting is seeking a Design Manager to lead multi-sector fit-out projects from our Sunderland office in a hybrid setting. You will own the design process, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients, architects and site teams to deliver buildable, coordinated designs.

Ideally you’ll come from an Architectural Technician or Architect background, with strong planning knowledge and a proven track record of leadership.

Qualifications

• Architectural Technician or Architect background.
• Strong understanding of UK planning process.
• Excellent communication with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from feasibility to technical delivery.
• Coordinate architectural design with construction, groundworks and fit-out teams.
• Manage relationships with clients, architects, consultants and authorities.
• Review and quality-check technical drawings and design information.
• Mentor junior design staff and develop the design team.
• Support bids and feasibility studies with buildable design solutions.
