The position offers hybrid work (typically two days in the office) with a salary around 29,000–30,000 and a six-month contract with potential for permanent transition. An established valve-focused company backdrop supports growth.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such as HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience using CAD software, ideally Solid Edge for 2D drawings
• Candidates with SolidWorks or other CAD packages will also be considered
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and ability to interpret technical information
• Methodical approach with attention to detail and ability to work through documentation systematically
• Graduates and first engineering role seekers are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Update and refresh existing 2D engineering drawings to reflect current requirements and improve presentation
• Amend and maintain drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using existing technical data
• Review older drawings and documentation to ensure information is accurate and consistent
• Support a project to modernise technical information used across the business, including customer-facing drawings
• Work with colleagues across engineering, marketing and other departments to support ongoing development
• Organise and maintain technical documentation to improve usability and presentation
