We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist technical consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems.

For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be based at our Bromley office at least 3 days per week.

The Opportunity:

Working for IdentityE2E (part of CACI IIG), the Junior QA Defect Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the defect lifecycle across various projects within our customer's organization. This role requires familiarity with Atlassian JIRA, QA processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure defects are tracked, managed, and resolved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle using JIRA, from identification to resolution, ensuring proper documentation, prioritization, and tracking of defects.
  2. Collaborate with development, QA, and release operations teams to identify, analyze, and resolve defects promptly.
  3. Utilize AWS cloud services to facilitate defect tracking, management, and resolution processes.
  4. Maintain efficient defect management processes, suggest improvements, and align with industry best practices.
  5. Conduct regular defect triage meetings to review and prioritize defects, addressing critical issues promptly.
  6. Provide regular updates on defect metrics and trends to stakeholders, including senior management.
  7. Implement and maintain automated defect tracking and reporting tools to streamline processes.
  8. Create dashboards, workflows, and filters to enhance stakeholder observability.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
The Fit:

  • Hold a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent, Grade A-C
  • Demonstrate understanding of QA defect management and AWS cloud environment
  • Have basic knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Containers
  • Possess working knowledge of JIRA defect tracking
  • Have a basic understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Can manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment

All team members must be able to obtain security clearance, which requires being a British passport holder and having lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
