Hawk Hiring LTD in Crowborough is seeking a Junior Custom & Defender Builder with 6+ months of mechanical or garage experience who wants to move away from routine main dealer servicing and learn bespoke fabrication, chassis assembly, and 4x4 restoration.

You will work on high-end, precision builds in a supportive workshop, with opportunities to handle full chassis rebuilds, custom modifications, and hands-on use of fabrication tools to restore classic Land Rovers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of professional garage, agricultural engineering, or mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical mindset and enthusiasm for classic 4x4s and Land Rovers.
• Hands-on experience with basic mechanical tools, fabrication, or vehicle stripping/rebuilding.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Learn custom fabrication processes and chassis assembly for 4x4 restorations.
• Assist on full chassis rebuilds and bespoke modifications.
• Contribute to suspension lifts and restoration of classic Land Rover Defender models.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £29,000 – £33,000 basic per annum + annual bonus
• Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible shift patterns (choice of working 4, 5, or 6 days per week)

Role Overview
