Job summary

Octus is seeking a credit analyst to focus on leverage loan situations across the credit lifecycle, primarily analyzing European primary loan issues with occasional U.S. coverage.

The role sits in a fourteen-person team handling performing and distressed credits, publishing research with investment ideas. You will conduct fundamental credit analysis, build forward-looking models, and collaborate with lawyers and other teams to deliver research to asset managers, hedge funds, and banks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of credit research experience in buy side, sell side or rating agency.
• Experience in financial analysis and cash flow projections.
• Excellent written and oral communication; reports can be 20–30 pages.
• Familiarity with AI tools and eagerness to learn.
• Fluency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental credit analysis and forward-looking models to generate actionable ideas.
• Prepare deep-dive analyses on loan issuers with credit strengths/risks and industry comparisons.
• Maintain dialogue with team and track trends across sectors relevant to cases.
• Cover a portfolio of performing leveraged loan borrowers across lifecycle and lead primary analyses.
